Mera Peak is located in the Everest area and is the highest of the “trekking peaks”. It is a good climb for those looking to climb high without the technical difficulties, and the view is amazing!

This is an excellent peak to climb! It is a good peak for beginners and intermediate climbers alike. The views are hard to beat from 6,476m (21,247ft).

Mera Peak expedition itinerary

  • Day 01: Pick up from Airport and arrive at hotel in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

  • Day 02: Fly to Lukla from Kathmandu and then trek to Chuthanga (1 hour trek)

  • Day 03: Trek to Chetra La (5-6 hours)

  • Day 04: Trek to Kothe (4-5 hours)

  • Day 05: Trek to Thangnak (4 hours)

  • Day 06: Rest day in Thangnak (Acclimatization hike)

  • Day 07: Trek to Khare (3-4 hours)

  • Day 08: Rest day in Khare (Acclimatization hike)

  • Day 09: Trek to Mera High Camp (4-5 hours)

  • Day 10: Climb Mera peak and trek to Khongma Dhingma (Full Day)

  • Day 11: Trek to Seto Pokhari (4-5 hours)

  • Day 12: Trek to Ambu Lapcha Base Camp (4-5 hours)

  • Day 13: Trek over Abu Lapcha pass and down into Chhukung (7-9 hours)

  • Day 14: Trek to Namche (5-6 hours)

  • Day 15: Trek to Lukla (5-6 hours)

  • Day 16: Fly to Kathmandu

  • Day 17: Return flight to home country
